Khimera

Meet Khimera. She's a Grotesque. Grotesque are super natural creatures that roam our realm.

The word grotesque is used as an adjective in literature, meaning strange, ugly, unpleasant, fantastic, or disgusting. It is often used to describe weird shapes, or distorted forms, like Halloween masks.

Unlike Gargoyles, Grotesques don't have water spouts. They are either stone carvings or paintings of creatures. They can be used as protection like gargoyles, or decorative paintings, and sculptures.

Another name for a Grotesque, is Chimera. These are mythical creatures very similar to Grotesques. Both can be imaginary creatures, human and animal hybrids, dragons, or demons. Just like gargoyles, you'll find them on Churches and old styled buildings. They are quite alike, but now maybe you can be able to identify which one is a Gargoyle and which one is a Grotesque.

I created Khimera during a traumatic moment in my life.  I, therefore, had a difficult time letting her go. Here we are, two years later, I'm finally putting her in my shop for her to to bind with a mysterious soul♡

Khimera is approximately 2 inches in length and is guarding two solid and natural opals and a citrine, which is a portal to the unknown!  The chain is genuine brass, solid opals, and carnelians.  The pendant is approximately 18 inches length.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE:

Please keep in mind that some of my creations are made from polymer clay, paints, resin, assorted crystal gems and other mediums.  
Although the mediums used are sturdy, they do require precautionary care, as dropping/hitting the creations may harm them.  Please do not use chemicals, household or jewelry cleaners on these creations.  It is highly recommended to simply use a soft cloth to gently clean your new wearable art.  As for jewelry pieces, please do not force anything through the bails.  Do not sleep or swim while wearing any jewelry.

Returns: If there is a problem with your item(s), contact us immediately upon receipt to resolve it. In some cases, a return for a full refund is an option, but the buyer is responsible for return shipping and ensuring that the item(s) is(are) returned in its(their) original condition.

CANCELLATIONS
If your order is not marked as shipped, you may contact us to discuss cancellation. In the event that your order has not yet been processed, it can be cancelled with a deduction of listing fee from your refund.

Shipping time is ESTIMATED based on USPS processing time. Select Priority Mail or Priority Express for faster delivery.

Please contact us prior to placing orders if you would like to purchase shipping insurance. Shipping insurance covers loss or damage to the package/item(s).  Tracking is available, but an optional additional charge for all orders.

INTERNATIONAL:
The delivery time to destinations outside of the USA can be both costly and delayed, with some delivery estimates at 30 Business Days or more when packages are delivered by ocean freight. Please contact us prior to placing your order for an estimated shipping price based upon the shipping options you choose as well as which country that we are shipping to.
